How do I get a library card?

Visit the library with a valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license). If your ID does not reflect your current Weare address, please also bring proof of address, such as a recent utility bill or piece of mail.

​

I live in another town. Can I still get a card?

Yes, non-residents can obtain a one for an annual fee of $30.

​

How do I renew, request, or reserve a book?

Login to our catalog page or contact the library.

​​

Do I have an online account? How do I access it?
All cardholders have an online account. Access it here using your card number and password.

 

What should I do if I can’t log in to my online account?
Ensure you’re entering your full library card number (including any letters or symbols) and password (typically your phone number without dashes). If you still can’t log in, contact us.

​

What if my account is no longer active?
Accounts expire annually and may need renewal. Call us at 603-529-2044 to verify your address and phone number.

​​

What if I lose my library card?
Replacement cards are available at the library for a $1 fee.

How many items can I check out?
You may borrow up to 20 books and 5 DVDs per account.

When are my items due?
Books and audiobooks: 2 weeks. DVDs and video games: 1 week. Need more time? Renew at our catalog page or contact the library.

Woah, you have video games?!

Yes, for the Nintendo Switch - and board games too.

​

How do I access e-books and audiobooks?

We use the the Libby app. Find setup instructions here.

​

Do you take book or DVD donations?

Due to limited space and the demand for newer materials, we do not accept book or DVD donations. We encourage giving to thrift stores, sharing with friends, or disposing in the trash (It's okay).

How do I request an inter-library loan?

Contact us for access to hundreds of thousands of titles from libraries statewide. Delivery typically takes 1–2 weeks

 

How can I challenge a book or library material?
Fill out a Request for Reconsideration form, available at the library or here.

I’m an author. Will you add my book to the collection?
We consider published works by local authors only. Other authors are encouraged to seek broader distribution.

How do I reserve a pass?
Call 603-529-2044 or visit the library to check availability and reserve.

PRINTING & FAXING

Do you offer printing services?
Yes, printing costs $0.10 per black-and-white page and $0.25 per color page.

​

How do I print from an email?
Access your email on your phone and connect to our Wi-Fi to print, or use one of our public laptops.

​

Can I send a fax from the library?
Yes, faxing is available for a flat $1 fee.

​​

 

PROGRAMS & EVENTS

Can my group use the community room?
Yes, if you're a town resident and the event is free and open to the public. Call 603-529-2044 to schedule. Then complete and submit this form.

Can I host a library sponsored program or author talk?
Contact the library director to discuss how we can schedule and promote your event.

​

Do I need a library card to attend programs or events?
No, all programs and events are open to the public. 

​

Do you offer storytimes? When are they?
Storytimes vary by season. Check our events page for the current schedule.

​​

Do you have a book group? How do I join?
Yes, our book group typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM. Call 603-529-2044 to reserve the current book.

​

Do you hold book sales?
We sell used books at the library, but book sale events are rare. Check our events page for announcements.

MISCELLANEOUS

 

Are computers available for public use?
Yes, laptops are available upon request from library staff.

​

Can my child visit the library without a parent?
Children aged 10 and older may use the library independently.

No, but a notary is available at the nearby Town Office or TD Bank.
